Kerri Caviezel has devoted her life to working with youth and spreading the pro-life message. After earning a degree in education from Western Washington University, Kerri spent eight years teaching junior high and high school, and ten years, with her second love, coaching basketball. Almost twenty years ago, Kerri started counseling at the Pregnancy Counseling Center in Mission Hills, California. With her teaching experience, speaking on issues concerning the Sanctity of Life became a natural outgrowth to spread a preventative message of help, hope, and truth. This journey has taken Kerri around the globe, speaking at various pro-life conferences, women’s conferences, World Youth Day, and other memorable venues.

She recently said, “After so many years of working with young people, I came to understand that something must be done to counteract the cultural message of death being constantly showered upon our students today. I am delighted that MiraVia is answering that need right on the college campus. Bringing messages of Life and ‘Gifts of Mercy,’ they have taken a unique approach to assisting pregnant college students. I know of no other maternity program in your area that provides for all of the needs of the young student mothers and their babies and does so without charge. Truly an amazing ‘Gift of Mercy.’ ” Kerri is married and has three children.

MiraVia, Inc. is a Catholic, 501 (c)(3) non-profit maternity and after-care program, serving women and their
children in the greater Charlotte, NC area since 1994. Funds raised through the annual banquet provide a significant
portion of the operating income needed for the coming year.
